Our hike will be to Noisy Creek on Baker Lake. 10 miles. WTA gives a hike description as East Bank Baker Lake, North end. I hope we will have lunch at the Noisy Creek Campground and then walk a bit further to see "Big Doug", one of the biggest Douglas Firs in the Cascades.
Weather report is for sunshine and warm, but as always, come prepared for cold & rain and plenty of hydration.
With longer Daylight hours and longer distance transportation to the trailhead we will meet in the New Street parking lot at 7:15 and depart at 7:30.
It's about 45 minutes to the Baker Lake Road (I5 to Cook Rd, then Hwy 20).
Then , it is 26.5 miles to the end of the Baker Lake Road, the last 6 miles, gravel, to the parking lot. Total transportation time about 90 minutes. Suggested gas donation $9.
