The weather forecast for tomorrow is for cool and rainy.  It shows more rain in Maple Falls than here and the rain there starting earlier.

The planned trail starts in the woods but most of it is completely exposed.

To paraphrase Pat McGovern:  Why travel 30 miles to get wet when you can get just as wet close to home.

I am changing tomorrow's hike.  We will do the Chanterelle trail clockwise.  It is of similar difficulty to the planned trail but doesn't have as nice views but it is almost all in the woods.

We will go at least to the 4 mile spot and then note the conditions and democratically decide whether to do the whole loop or retreat back to the trailhead.
